I am finite and eternal
  I am slowly gaining speed
As the structures fold and crumble
  And replace desire with need

Dichotomy and double-speak,
  An oxymoron sea,
Where truths are absolute and fixed
  But quickly fade and flee

Here inaction still speaks loudly
  But results affect the cause
And screams somehow seem delicate
  While whispers form a pause

In a glass house full of mirrors
  Resolute and quite opaque
All reflection is turned inward
  As original turns fake

A sound without a rhythm
But in tune with song and dance
My heart beats ever faintly
  And collapses the expanse

I'm a blind man seeking vision
I'm a mute who shouts the truth
I'm all these things and many more --
  A shifting absolute.
